I would like to design an online teaching and learning experience for students to explore the reality of the workplace. Quite often students claim they want to be X, Y and Z but have no real sense of what this looks like in practice. Rather than spending weeks researching, submitting proposals, budgets and plans, I would like students to see a typical ‘day in the life of a X, Y, Z ‘ before they commit further. This will make the final career research more authentic, meaningful and develop their critical evaluation.
I believe that this would be an ideal opportunity to promote either a Constructivist or Connectivist approach.
