Explore my strengths and interests and how they influence who I am
Create a positive first impression that showcases my interests and skills using a range of digital tools
The audio file I have found is Great Expectations by Charles Dickens read by Mark F. Smith. I still need to snip the file to a size suitable for this blog.
In order to locate this file I searched for audio files on the internet archives and then within this searched for a text.
The narrative format of this audio is ‘Dramatic or Poetic’ (Carter, C, 2012). To help me select a suitable audio I also relied on the reviews and ratings from other listeners to ensure that it would engage the listener.
I would use edit this by clipping just a short, 15-30 second extract of my favourite section of the novel. Frustratingly you have to download 1/3 of the novel and then locate this yourself rather than download smaller, 15 minutes clips. I would then put this on my modelled example of the completed assignment. This would meet the learning outcomes by:
Explore my strengths and interests and how they influence who I am- exploring interests by providing evidence and contextualising why I like reading as an interest
Create a positive first impression that showcases my interests and skills using a range of digital tools- shows engagement and specific examples and the audio uses digital tools to embed and play on their G-Site (including editing).
